TOWN HALL DANCE

PERSONALITY CONTEST The final judging in the " Miss Otago " personality contest at. the Town Hall dance on Saturday night resulted in Miss Rita Cook being declared the winner of the first prize of £4O. The second and third prizes of £7 and £3 respectively went to Miss Patsy de Beer and Miss Melody Sutherland. There was a large attendance. The Mayor (Mr D. C. Cameron), who presented the winner with the prize and accompanying riband, congratulated Miss Cook and also the 14 finalists. He made complimentary reference to the management on the standard of the weekly dance. The judges were Mesdames M. O'Loughlin, L. Oliver, B. Greenslade, Messrs C. V. Smith, W. A. Jenkins, L. M. Wright, and L. J. Ireland.
