Bennett (from' Wellington), Miss M. Halcrow, Mr C. J. Kerr. Mis Campbell (from Christchurch) . Passengers by the north-bound plana this morning were:—Mr L. F. Broad (for Christchurch), Mr H. Brown, Mr A. B. Hall, Mr J. Agnew, Mr R. H. Clark, Mr H. F. Sincock (for Wellington), Mrs M. Spence, Miss E. D. Bishop, Mr G. R. Gibbs (for Auckland).
Mr A. S Cookson left this morning for Wellington. , Mr H." 11. Harper, of Melbourne, the general manager of the Victoria Insurance Company, and Mr W. Johnstone, the general manager of the company for New Zealand, are at present visitJDg Dunedin. Mrs R. Mcßitchie, of 356 Bay View road, St. Clair, has received "cabled advice from England that her husband, Flight-sergeant Norman Mcßitchie, who is attached to the R.A.F., has been granted his commission. He is the eldest son of Mr and Mrs Norman Mcßitchie, of Waiwera South. Mr F. Royer, manager of the industrial department at the head office of the A.M.P. Society in Sydney, Mr R. A.Martin, industrial' branch manager for New South Wales, and Mr L.'G. .Krefft, the newly-appointed industrial branch manager for New Zealand, are visiting Dunedin. Pte. John Butler, of 20 Eglinton road, who escaped from a prisoner-of-war camp in Italy, and later reached! safety in Switzerland, has now rejoined the Allied forces in the Mediterranean theatre, according to official advice received by his parents, Mr and Mrs G. Butler. Mrs M. Blackie, 13. Littlebourne Crescentjhas received advice that her son, Flying-officer C. J. H. Blackie, at present instructing at an R.A.F. station in the Middle East, has been promoted to flight-lieutenant. Latest registrations at the Grand Hotel include Corporal and Mrs J. C. Ballingham (Auckland), Mr and Mrs W. Hughes. (Wellington), Mr and Mrs J. Davidson (Ashburton), Mr and Mrs F. Ewart, Miss J. Manson (Invercargill). Staying at the City Hotel are Mr and Mrs J.
