WAKARI-KAIKORAI IMPROVEMENT SOCIETY
The monthly meeting of the above society was held in ibe Wakari .School on Thursday, Mr J. Allen presiding. The attendance was disappointing, but there was no lack of enthusiasm. The Chairman gave a comprehensive report on matters of interest, io the society. A number of young folk attended and heard Mr C. N. Allen outline the objects of the proposed youth group. Interesting discussion ensued, culminating in the project being adopted with slight' amendment. Messrs C. Allen and Cubilt, and Messrs C. N. Allen and O. Johnson • were elected as the youth group committee. A report on community centre affairs was presented, and, provided the plans are completed in i inic, ,it is hoped to display a model of the centre at the forthcoming industrial fair.
