A PLACE FOR TURKEY

SOVIET INVITATION TO ENTER WAR

(Rec. 11 a.m.) LONDON, July 12. Russia is reported to have told» Turkey that there is still" a place for her beside the United Nations provided she acts at once, says the ' Daily Telegraph's' Ankara correspondent.

Such an alliance would undoubtedly mean full co-operation and Turkey's entry into the war, adds the correspondent. The Turkish Parliament has not yet adjourned for the usual summer vacation, the chief reason given being that the Government feels the necessity of having Parliament's : co-opera-tion " during the present critical situation caused by international event* directly related to the war."
