OFF FRENCH COAST
ENEMY SHIPPING BOMBED
(Rec. 10 a.m.) (RUGBY, July 12. Enemy shipping off the French coast was attacked early to-day by aircraft of R.A.F. Coastal Command. Two large explosions with reddish flames and smoke 300 ft high were seen after one Albacore had bombed two enemy tank-landing craft or trawler-type auxiliaries off Cape Gris-Nez. Fleet Air Arm Swordfish attacked five E-boats or R-boats off Calais. Bombs burst among the vessels.
