MAN DIES OF INJURIES

CAR TURNS ON ITS SIDE As a result of a motor accident which occurred on Monday evening on the road between Clark's J unction, and Lee Stream, Thomas Paton, aged 56, of Wellington, divisional director of the Post and Telegraph Department, received injuries from which he died in the Duiiedin Hospital about 9 o clock this morning. ■.■,.. , , T Mr Paton was driving towards .Lee Stream, ' and 'on a- bend just before reaching the stream the car hit a bank and turned on its side, pinning him underneath. He received severe injuries and was removed to hospital. The exa r -t time of the accident is not known, ,lmt it is believed, to have occurred f between 7 and 11 p.m.. and Mr Paton may have been pinned under the vehicle for some time. An inquest wa6 held this afternoon.
