PUBLIC SERVICE DONATIONS
. The National Patriotic Fund Board has forwarded to the Ota go Provincial Patriotic Council a cheque for the sum of £1,934 15s lOd, representing Qtago's proportion of contributions made io the Patriotic Fund by the staffs of' the New Zealand Railways, Post and Telegraph Department, Public Works Department (Hydro), State Fire Office, National Broadcasting Service, Commercial Broadcasting Service, Minos Department, Native Department, and Underwriters' Association.
The apportionment of the amount to the various zones and sub-zones of the province is as follows:—North Otagb, £237 17s lOd; South Otago, £193 19s lOd; Tuapeka, £BB 15s lOd; Vincent, £77 7s lOd; Maniototo, £49 175.10 d; Lakes, £45 5s lOd; Dunedin-St. Kilda, £975 7s lOd; Palmerston-Waihemo, £32 13s lOd; Waikouaiti, £52 Is lOd; Taieri. £9l Is lOd; Peninsula, £24 9s lOd; West Harbour, £24 19s lOd; Port Chalmers. £l7 Is lid; Green Island, £23 13s lid.
