CONVOY BATTLE
OFF COAST OF PORTUGAL LISBON, October 26". A battle between an Allied convoy and U-boat packs is reported to be going on off the Portuguese coast outside territorial waters. The battle has been raging for two days, and at least one U-boat is reported to have been sunk. Several Allied ships in the convoy have been torpedoed, but it is believed that none were sunk.
