GERMANS FORTIFYING BALKANS
GREAT PREPARATIONS TO MEET ALLIED INVASION (Rec. 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, Oct. 24. The Germans are rushing reinforce,ments to the Balkans in readiness for an Allied invasion, says the German Overseas News Agency. ' " Arms and ammunition are rolling into the Balkans day and night along new roads. A great south-eastern defence wall is being built up. The approaches to Salonika are bristling with fortifications,'' says the News Agency.
