LAVAL'S NEWSPAPER

SABOTAGE REPORTED (Rec. 8 a.m.) RUGBY, August 1. The Vichy radio stated that an attack of " de Gaullist-Communisfc origin " was made in Clermont Ferrand on Friday against one of the printing works of"' Le Moniteur,' of which Laval is proprietor. Four containers of explosives were placed iu the works, three of which exploded, damaging a machine and causing a fire, which was soon under control. The radio stated that the containers were British-made.
