(Rec. 8 a.m.) FORT DE PRANCE, July 16. M. Hopponot said tho cruiser Emile Bertin, the training ship Jeanne di'Arc, seven tankers, and other ship's attached to Admiral Robert's fleet, were being sent to the United State soon for repair and reconditioning for use of the Allies. No sabotage had Ibeen committed on any of the vessels since their arrival in 1940.
M. Hoppenot said 95 per cent, of the residents of Martinique were giving allegiance to the French National Committee. The only guarantee sought from him was no reprisals against Petainists, which- ho gave. All political prisoners were freed immediately ho arrived.
