AIR STATION TRAGEDY
THREE MEN KILLED IN GRASH (P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 16. The three occupants of an R.N.Z.A.F. aircraft were killed when the machine crashed after the take-off on a North Island air station shortly after 5 p.m. yesterday. The men involved were:_ Squadron-leader Wilfred Maurice Chalk Williams, D.F.C., whose wife lives at Feilding. He was a son of Canon Williams, of Napier. Leading-aircraftman Harold Joseph Beale; wife. Mrs B. E. Beale, Mount Eden. Auckland. Acting-corporal Wilfred Nixon Gibbous; father. Mr W. W. Gibbons, Pornell. Auckland.
