GRAND. An important contribution' to America's war effort, Columbia's ' Stand By .All Networks,' now showing at the Grand, dramatically reveals the'methods adopted by Nazi agents to spread demoralisation and disunity, even as they engage in- the more overt forms of sabotage. The story of a radio reporter's one-man crusade to arouse the uation to its danger in the months before Pearl Harbour. Stand By All Networks ' is a hard-hitting warning, against home-grown Fascists, as well as an entertaining drama of high adventure. Floreure Rice and John. Beal are featured in tho film, with Margaret Hayes and Alan Baxter in important supporting , roles. A delightful comedy, ' Lucky Legs,' with Jinx Falkenburg. in the starring role, is the supporting feature. ... r . MAYFAIR. - Two highly diverting-films, 'That Uncertain Feeling ' and ' Unexpected Uncle,? make the new programme at the Mayfair a particularly attractive one. In 'That Uncertain Feeling ' Merle Oberon is bored with her dull and unimaginative husband, Melvyn Douglass. A visit to a psycho-analyst results in an obscure musician, a colossal egoist and poseur, soon ousting the faithful «ind perplexed husband—until a primitive reflex is . registered.. Merle Oberon further emphasises her dainty feminine appeal in the film Melvyn Douglas is quietly diverting as the husband, but it is Burgess Meredith (as the comically eccentric musician) who steals the film, with cVisp humour and characteristic nonchalance. \
