Helwan R.A.F. beat a New Zealand unit eleven by 52 runs, Stace being top scorer with 55. New Zealand made 147. Declaring at 18C for nine wickets (Burgess 54, Scott 62), New Zealand Supply was beaten by the Alexandria Club by'a narrow margin, the winning hit being from the fourth ball of the final over.

Scoring at a fast rate, the 19th Armoured Regiment (229) defeated Alexandria Club (216) with three wickets in hand. New Zealand's top scorers were Whitehead (62), Allen (52), Sumpter (32), and Hyndman (23).
