COMMUNITY SING

The main attraction at this week’s community sing, to be held in the Town Hall at 12.30 'on Friday, will be the appearance of the Band of the Royal New Zealand Air Force, under the conductorship of Flight-lieutenant Gladstone Hill. The band will play a number of selections. A well-bred rough-ccated collie dog will be offered for sale, and the proceeds of the sing will be devoted to the Prisoners of War Weekly Parcels Fund. The sing will be under the leadership of Mr H. P. Desmoulins, and Mr A. Pe.ttitt will be at the piano. Donations may be sent to Mr J. F. Himburg, care of Begg’s.
