COMMUNITY SING
To-day another' large audience was present at the community sing held in the Strand Theatre. The singing was of a very high order, particularly noteworthy being ‘Hymn for To-day,’ which is to be sung as the hymn of tho “ sing ” for the remainder of the season. Copies are available to anyone free of charge, but a donation can be sent to the fund. As previously, tho proceeds from the sing are to he dovoted to prisoner’s of war weekly parcels, and the committee is doing everything possible to raise the required amount for this good purpose. A special attraction at to-day’s sing was the appearance of Miss Jean McLay, who was heard in vocal numbers and had a splendid reception. Mr H. P. Desmoulins was leader, assisted by Mr J. 11.I 1 . Himburg, with Mr A. Pettitfc at tho piano.
