NEW DRUG
SUBSTITUTE FOR MORPHINE Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright (Rec. 10 a.m.) BOSTON, April 1. A non-habit forming substitute for morphine was announced to-day by the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology. The new drug is made by the transformation of atrophine to synthetic morphine. The detailed effects of the new drug on 100 cases are reported by two New York doctors.
