GIANT HOLLYHOCK.

TO TUB EDITOR. Sir, —In your issue of Friday mention was made of a 10ft hollyhock. This is only a medium-sized specimen compared with one at present growing in the shadow of Knox Church. This 12ft hollyhock is growing peacefully, along with several 10ft neighbours, in the well-kept garden of the iTunket Society. It may be that the nurses have been experimenting with some new baby food, or the growth may be the result of half a century of ministerial digging —the building was formerly the Knox Church manse—but there it is.—l am, etc.. . . . Sky’s the Limit. January 2-1.
