POLICE COURT
MONDAY, JANUARY 20. (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. Andrew Coburn Goodlet was fined 12s 6d, and two first offenders 20s and 10s respectively, on charges of drunkenness. THEFT OF BIG IRON. William Albert Pauley, charged on remand with the theft of a quantity of pig iron valued at 11s 4d from the wharf, was sentenced to seven days’ imprisonment. MAINTENANCE. William John Carlisle Beale, charged with having made default in his payments on a maintenance order, was sentenced to four months’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended conditional on defendant paying £7 on or before February 2 and thereafter £1 10s a week until the arrears are paid off.
