OTAGO ASSOCIATION A meeting of the committee of tbc Otago Lawn Tennis Association was held in Mr E. S. Wilson’s board room on Thursday evening, when there were present:—Messrs S. Falconer (chair), T. L. C. Scrivener, R. Wilson, L. Facer, S. G. Ruben, E. D. Dutbie. and A. McMillan. St Peter’s Club announced that, on account of the number of members who have gone into camp, it was reluctantly compelled to withdraw its mixed B grade team. The Secretary reported he had advised ail clubs. Tbc St. Kilda Club wrote withdrawing its mixed B grade team owing, to loss of members, and asking if it would be possible to enter another ladies’ B grade team.—The Secretary reported clubs bad been advised of the withdrawal of this team, and the St. Kilda Club bad been informed that owing to there being no bye in the ladies’ B grade competition, it was_ not possible to accept another entry for this grade.

The Secretary reported he had written asking clubs to supply a list of their playing members, and had so far received replies from the First Church, Cosy Dell, and Morningtou Clubs.—Delegates were requested to ask their clubs to supply this information immediately. The South Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association wrote regarding the holding of the quadrangular touruamnot, and suggesting that this tournament be again hold either in Dunedin or Timaru. —It was resolved to write to the South Canterbury, South .Otago, and Southland Associations suggesting that this tournament be again held this year, and pointing out that Dunedin appeared the most suitable centre, as the train arrangements suited both the northern and southern associations. February 21 was suggested as a suitable dale for the tournament.

.With regard to representative matches with the sub-associations, it was stated that in tbo present circumstances it would be very difficult for the association to arrange to send teams to the various sub-associa-tions, bub it any of the sub-associations could arrange to send teams to Dunedin the association would be pleased to arrange teams and meet them. The question of holding a tournament at Easter was fully discussed, and the opinion was expressed that an effort should be made to hold a tournament, but that no senior titles should be competed for. A subcommittee, consisting of Messrs S. Falconer, W. Sherrill, and E. J. Ruben, was appointed to consider the matter and bring down a report to an early meeting regarding the best methods and conditions to be adopted for holding a tournament at Easter. ASSOCIATION GAMES The following are the results of the Otago Lawn Tennis Association’s matches played on Saturday:— A Grade. —Cosy Dell 13 sets, Caversham 2 sets. Women’s C Grade.—Tallin! 7 sets (57 games), First Church 25 games. UNION MATCHES A Grade. —Macandrow Bay 12 sets (74 games), Wakari 4 sets (44 games); Fire Brigade 11 sets (77 games), Holy Cross 5 sets (53 games), Kaikorai 11 sets (96 games), Aotea 5 sets (71 games). Intermediate Grade. —Kiwi 10 sets (94 games), Tokotoru 6 sets (81 games). C Grade. —Normal 12 sets (90 games), Kiwi 4 sets (43 games). Women’s B Grade.—Kaikorai 6 sets (44 games), Musselburgh 2 sets (27 games). Women’s C Grade.—Wakari 6 sets (49 games), Green Island 6 sets (49 games).
