SMASH IN COAL MINE
EIGHTY TRUCKS PILE UP WHEN ROPE BREAKS (P.A.) WESTPORT, January 16. A crash occurred on the incline at the Westport Coal Company's Millerton mine this afternoon, when a rope line carrying full aiid empty trucks broke, piling up some 80 truck of coal on the line and in the tunnel. Fortunately no one was hurt. Repair work will begin immediately, but it may be well into next week before mining operations at Millerton can be resumed.
