ESCAPED INTERNEES
GERMANS STILL AT LIBERTY (P A.) WELLINGTON, Nov. 30. The search by the police and the Army for the three Germans who escaped from internment on Somes Island on Wednesday night has so far failed to reveal them. Until to-night there was no sign of them, except that a boat from the island arid a pair of improvised oars had been discovered on the shore nrsr Petonc. ft is generally surmised that the men are bv"’ now hiding, probably with friends, but the police are confident that tliev will be discovered sooner or later. Their capture will !bo hastened if members of the public report to the police anv strangers to their district who may fit the description of the men. Such reports have already been received at some police stations, but in each ease the police have cheeked off the suspect as not one of the missing men.
