IN TOBRUK AREA ENGAGEMENT LASTS FOUR HOURS Official Wireless.) (Roc. 10 a.m.) RUGBY, Oct. 14. Latest reports from the Middle East state that at Tobruk there has been an engagement between British and enemy tanks lasting four hours, with the opposing tanks at tfines within 50yds of each other,. Observation of the damage and casualties inflicted on the enemy was impossible owing to very poor visibility. On tire evening of October 12 nine enemy tanks came within 50yds of a British observation post, but the standing patrol there held fast.
