HARD OF HEARING LEAGUE

At the fortnightly social evening of the Dunedin branch of the Hard of Hearing League, held last week, a delightful reading of the poem, ‘ White Cliffs,’ by Alice Duer Miller, was given by Miss Joyce Brugh. Although the attendance was smaller than usual, everyone present thoroughly enjoyed the evening. Miss .D. M‘ Lean conveyed to Miss Brugh the thanks of all who heard the poem. While supper was being prepared, members took part in a community sing. The committee extends a cordial invitation to any who may be interested in the activities of the league, and will be pleased to supply any information regarding lip. reading classes, which are held daily at the club rooms in Hanover street, next to Cooke, Howlison’s garage.
