Daily Intercession

For the lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of tvaters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.—(Revelation vii.; 17.)

How brief, O Lord, is this mortal life, for we spend our years as a tale that is told. How insecure also is its tenure. We would lift up our eyes therefore and behold the city that hath foundations, whose maker and builder is God. To have Christ with us here is very wonderful, but how , much better to be with Him there! In these days when so many hearts are riven and so many homes are darkened with sudden death, teach us to look less upon the things that are seen and more upon those that are not seen; through Jesus Christ our Lord. — Amen.
