POLICE COURT
MONDAY, APRIL 21. (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. David William Rowe, who had a long list of previous convictions, was fined 13s, in default 24 hours’ imprisonment. A first offender, who did not appear, was fined the amount of his bail (20s) on a similar charge. MAINTENANCE. Charged with default in payment of a maintenance order in respect of his wife, with arrears stated at £2l Is, Henry George Alexander Barnes, who did not appear, was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment, tho warrant not to be issued so long as the defendant pays £lO on or before April 28 and £lO Is on or before May 12. Joseph Leonard Ryder was proceeded against on an application for a maintenance order in respect of his wife and six children. —After evidence had been given by the complainant an order was made for £2 10s a week, with past maintenance (£ls) to bo paid at the rate of 5s a week. Costs (£1 Is) were allowed.
