The directors of the National Bank of Australasia have decided to recommend a dividend of 6 per cent, per ar,nuni on both classes of shares for tile half-year ended March 31, according to advice received by cable by the National Bank of New Zealand to-day. COAST DREDGE RETURNS. For the first half of April dredging returns are:— Barrytown: 135 ounces for 223 hours (110.000 yards). Kanieri: 815 ounces for 247 hours (133,000 yards), Arahura; 851 ounces for 273 hours (135,000 yards). BANK OF NEW ZEALAND 1 DIVIDEND. (Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, April 18. The directors of the Bank of New Zealand announce that, subject to audit, it will be recommended at the annual meeting on June 20 that a final dividend of 3 per cent, bo paid ordinary shareholders for the last half-year, making a total distribution for the year of 8 per cent., (last year it was 10 per cent.). The reduction this year is made necessary on account of the decrease in trading profits and in view of the uncertain outlook. A bonus of 7] per cent, has been granted to members of the staff.
