EASTER TOURNAMENT FINALS DECIDED The Easter tournament conducted by. the Dunedin Bowling Centre was concluded yesterday afternoon under anything but pleasant conditions. The finals, however, were decided in all three competitions, play being on the Caledonian green. In the early stages of the final for the singles T. Watkins (Leith) went away with the lead; with nine heads gone ho was eight points to the good. Kettle reduced this to two in the next two heads, but Watkins drew away again and led 12-7 after tho fifteenth. Kettle fought on, however, and was only one down when the game ended. Another close contest resulted in' the pairs competition, tor after .the Taieri pair, skipped by ,1. Riach, had established a lead of nine after nine heads had been played, tho St. Kilda pair (N. Reardon and A. Spiers) crept up, and at the second last head wore four down. On the last head Spiers’s drawing was deadly, and he was lying four when Riach played his last bowl. Tho Taieri skip, however, cut out one of his counters, leaving Spiers one down. C. E. Tyrrell (Roslyn) easily accounted for G. Claridge (St. Kilda) in the final of the fours. Claridge scored on five heads only, and the game ended on the eighteenth head with the scores 31-7 in the Roslyn' rink’s favour. Following are the details of the afternoon’s play FOURS. —Final.— Mac Kay, Armstrong, Lindsay, Tyrrell (Roslyn) 31, G. H. Claridge, Trezise, C. E. Claridge, G. C.
