EMERGENCY PRECAUTIONS
MEDICAL SERVICES TRY-OUT FULL-DRESS REHEARSAL OH SATURDAY On Saturday next. . under the Eniero-eiicy Precautions Scheme, the Medical and Public Health Committee will stage a full-dress rehearsal of its plans to deal with any emergency that might arise in Dunedin. During the afternoon aid stations will be set up in all parts of the city and suburbs, and some hundreds of mock casualty oases will he dealt with at these stations, the more serious being removed to a special emergency hospital which will be set up by the Hospital 'Board. ' The co-operation of all householders who have promised equipment for the aid posts is asked for on this occasion, so that the rehearsal may be a real test and a success. An appeal is also made to citizens not to use telephones connected with the various headquarters and essential services in an endeavour to elicit information as to the progress of the mock “ blitz.” During the afternoon the posts will be visited by members of the Central Committee and also members of various organisations interested in the medical section of the Emergency Precautions Organisation. The headquarters of the committee at the St. John Ambulance building will not be an aid station, hut the following will be aid posts in the various areas:—
Area 1 (the city).—lnstitute of Education, Moray Place; Brydone Hall; Sargood, Son, and Ewen Ltd.;' North Dunedin Intermediate School; Garage, 15 Clyde street; Otago University; George Street School Gymnasium; Arthur Street School Gymnasium; Garages, 32 Alva street and 440 High street; St Andrew’s Sunday School, Carroll street; Scoullar and Chisholm Ltd.
Area 2 (South Dunedin, Caversham, and St. Kilda). —Forbury Hoad School Assembly Hall; Macandrew Road School; St. Clair Methodist Church, Forbury road; Garage, 1 Forbury Crescent; Caversham Baptist Church, Main South road; Musselburgh School; St. Kilda Methodist Church, Queen’s Drive.
Area .3 (Boslyn, Maori Hill, Mornington). —Colmhba College; Garage, Kilgour street; Kaikorai Presbyterian Church, Taieri road; Wgkari School; Coronation Hall, Balmaoewen road; Mornington School; Garage, 7 Beaumont road; Roman Catholic School, Mitchell Avenue; Scout Hall, Glen Avenue.
Area 4 (North-east Valley, Port Chalmers, and Harbourside). —Salvation Army Hall, Main North road; Pin© Hill School; Ross Home, Alain North road; Opoho Presbyterian Church, Signal Hill road; Hospital, Port Chalmers ; Ravenslbourne Coronation Hall; St. Leonards Coronation Hall.
