JAPANESE BONDS
PURCHASE BY AMERICAN FIRMS TOKIO, March 12. Japanese newspapers report that Paramount Pictures have purchased Japanese Government bonds worth 765,000 yen from accumulated funds The company has been unable to obtain permission to convert these funds into dollars. The Finance Ministry advisod the company that it could convert, the interest on bonds into dollars. Other American firms, the assets of which are “ frozen,” are planning similar action.
