SOCIAL CREDIT

The speaker at- tho Social Credit meeting on Tuesday was Mr Lind, and Ins subject ‘ Social Dynamics. He said that, social dynamics referred to the activities of men and women in association, and its sphere was as wide as humanity. Energy was latent in all human beings, often in a static form in isolated individuals, but always to a greater or less degree dynamic whenever two or more people were associated. The original reason why people associated, namely, for mutual protection, had been lost sight of in tho highly industrialised and complex era in which we now Jived. It was, therefore, pertinent to examine and ro-state the principles of social dynamics and apply them in the modern world. Although the importance of the individual had been largely swallowed up by the abstraction of the State, represented cither by a single dictator or an oligarchy, the dynamic energy of man could never be entirely suppressed. History was full of examples in which the human element asserted itself in one way or another, hut unfortunately, it was usually found that a hidden hierarchy had directed the energy into wrong channels so that most often it resulted in advantage for the few and disadvantage for tho many —a complete perversion of Ihc original principle. Social Creditors had to see that social dynamics was used as Nature intended il to he—for the benefit of (he group. II was their job to interpret the inarticulate desire of (he vast majority for universal welfare hy asserting that whatever was physically possible hy people acting in association should be financially possible.
