TRENTHAM TRACK WORK PAY ROLL'S SMART PERFORMANCE [I’KK USITKD I’RBSb ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, March 11. Treutham was enveloped with its usual pre-meeting mist this morning, and for the first hour it was difficult to time the gallops. The weather was perfect, and the outside of the course proper was fust. Siglow, going well throughout, was timed to run the last half-mile,of six furlongs in 52see, and Legis did not appear unduly bustled to cover a halfmile in Olsec. Hearth, on the outer, was half a length in front of Leignnor in 52sec. Spurts flush beat Kevin by nearly a length, with Erinseuurt a couple of lengths further back, in a similar task, which took 49.]scc. Saka Bona was too good for Makarora in 501scc. Corn Prince was finishing better than Par Avion and Transmitter in 48see. The best gallop of the morning was that of Pay ■ Holt, who covered five furlongs in Imin 2see, the last halfmile in 4,Bsec. Foreign Com, going easily, was two lengths clear of Burra Sahib and Kathbella over similar ground in Imin 4see, the last half-mile in 50isec. Serenata shaped well by boating Airline by three lengths over seven furlongs in Imin 29sec, the last halfmile in 52sec. Last Acre, Wildfire, and Don Quex iwere almost on terms at the completion of the same task in Imin 32sec, the last half-mile in >s3soc. Sunee and Streamline registered Imin 34sec, with Sunee in front at the end. end. Ever England and Tristan were well clear of Arctic Dawn after traversing la half-mile in 51sec, but the last-named was not knocked about. Don’t Forget put plenty into a task over seven furlongs, but could not bo timed. Others out working included Kindergarten, Poutatau, Blandisher, Varena, iGay Genet, Mafiaroa, Soutane, Arabic, land Sir Beau. Belle Cano, who is very fit, covered ia mile easily in Imin SSsec. The latest scratchings arc Monetary, Veldette, and Siegmund. Riders have (already been secured for Kentucky and Enrich in the Railway Handicap, but the mission of Gold Dale <and Hearth arc still uncertain. Circular Note will contest the Tinakori, land Premature the Plunket Handicaps.
