A number 96 London bus was travelling westwards during a raid when a small piece of shell came through the roof and fell on the hat of a passenger on the top deck. Turning round indignantly, the man asked: “Who threw that at me? ” and' accused a boy at the back of the bus. Peace was restored by the conductor, who showed the passenger the hole in the roof made by the fragment. ‘ Sunday Express,’ London.
