MANCHESTER UNITY

The fathering of Oddfellows on the occasion of the annual official visit to Loyal Print. cess Mary Lodge was representative of city and suburban lodges. N.G. Sister Longworth presided, and welcomed the visitors, including the Prov. G.H., the Prov. D.G.M., and prov. treasurer. A programme arranged by Sister W. H. Hastens comprised a pianoforte duet by Misses Olive and Elice Netper, vocal solos by Mr J. M'Farlane and Mr Harold Davidson, duets by Mrs J. M Parian*, and Miss Dorothy Barron, humorous recitations by Miss Billie Loan. The accompam-. ments were played by Sister VV. H. Masters N.G. Bro. A. G. Innes presided over a. good attendance at the meeting of LoVal Prince of Wales Lodge, Port Chalmers, indoor bowls and table tennis being the main, attractions. The number of brethren ah present laid aside with illness is more than usual. Arrangements are in hand ror tha final juvenile meeting of the year, which will be the installation of officers. The meeting of Loyal Albion Lodge wai well attended, N.G. Bro. E. Poulter presjding. Correspondence from the Prov. C.S in reference to Christmas gifts for the iesa fortunate brethren was given attention and a notification regarding the payment of th» contributions of members in Territorial camps also received consideration. At indoor bowls, in the pairs competition, Bros, Penny and Crawford won the trophy, with. Bros.' Longworth and Fergusson runners-up.
