DISTRICT NURSING

ROSLYN ASSOCIATION Mr J. Moir presided over a full attendance at the monthly meeting of the Roslyn District Nursing Association. The Chairman referred to the death of Sir Percy Sargood, a patron of the association, who had always taken a keen interest in the work of district nursing. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect. The district nurse had been so busy during the last month that the services of other nurses had been required to help with extra cases. Two Red Cross V.A.D.s had also given willing assistance, for which the committee was very grateful. Many demands had been made on the medical equipment which was kept at the association’s rooms. The Roslyn Women’s Association, the Church of Christ Ladies’ Guild, and the Maori Hill Ladies’ Guild had sent parcels of children’s garments, and many other friends had presented useful gifts, for which the Committee expressed its thanks. A special vote of thanks was passed to Miss Clyde and to the nurses who had given helpful service during busy periods.
