(o form an Otago Women s Baseball Association. rim area recreation officer (Miss Mary Marlin) outlined the progress made in the spread of the game this season. There were 120 girls in teams already, several more clubs were in the process of formation, and she was confident that the numbers would reach the 200 mark at least this season. In forming a women's . association, Otago was following the lead of other centres, there being women's affiliated associations in Auckland, Wanganui, Maiiawalu-, Wellington, and Canterbury. A New Zealand women's' championship todrnahnent would be hold in Christchurch in January. It was gratifying to know, 100, that baseball was included, with other summer sports, in most of the secondary schools in Dunedin, and even in some of the primary schools. The formation of an association in Dunedip had been made possible bv tlie co-operation of tho City Council in the matter of grounds. Help in this direction for this Season would contribute-in no small-manner to-the establishment of tlie association on a sound footiug . The, meeting adopted a constitution, and tho election of officers resulted President, Miss Mary Martin; vice-president, Miss Jessio Anderson; secretary and treasurer, Miss Ruth Wilson; Management Committee—Mrs M’Aughtne, Misses J. Flett, and T. Peterson. The General Committee will be composed of one representative from each team.
