Fine though windy'weather prevailed for the opening of interclub matches last Tuesday. Players found the lawns fairly keen owing to the dryness of the season. The following are the results of matches played :•—A grade, Punga 3, Logan Park 3; Leith 4, Tainui 2; Logan Park 1, St. Clair o; Watea 2, Punga 4. C grade, Watea 6, Logan Park 0; Taieri 4, Punga 2; Tainui 5,' Montecillo 1. The first of the “ fern ” matches will be played on November 9 between Logan Park and Tainui. Draw for interclub matches, November 12 and 13:—A grade, Leith v. Montecillo. Logan Park v. Watea, Punga a bye; li grade, Leith v. Punga, at Punga; Watea v. Logan Park, at Logan Park ; Oaversham v.
