DUNEDIN JOCKEY CLUB

MONTHLY MEETING The monthly committee meeting of the Dunedin Jockey Club, held yesterday, was attended by Messrs A. C. Hanlon (in the chair), L. C. Hazlett, A. N. Smith, J. A. Gow, A. Clark, L. J. Potter, W. Garett, C. N. Draper. A. Barnett, and Dr K. Ross. A statement showing the financial result of the recent spring meeting was approved. It was resolved that the programme for the summer meeting to be held on December 26 and 28 be the same as for the twoday summer meeting held in 1938, with the exception of the St. Andrew’s Handicap on the second day, the stakes for which are to be increased from £3OO to £4OO. It was resolved to add Dr MTlroy’s name to the list of honorary surgeons. It was decided to advertise for applications for the position of secretary. Three new members were elected.
