OTAGO CLUB In the second round of the club championship Mrs Dodgshun beat Mies Dodgshun, 3 and 2; .Miss Elliott beat Miss Meek, Miss Shand beat Mrs Gibson, Miss Brewer beat Mrs Lawless. In the B grade Challenge Bowl Mrs M'Dougall beat Miss North, Mrs Sime beat Mrs H. Walker, Mrs Blair beat Mrs A. Smellie, Mrs Greenfield beat Mrs Clark. In the match in which she beat her daughter Mrs Dodgshun had the distinction of holing in one at the fourth hole, the first time she has accomplished the teat in her long golfing career. WELLINGTON CHAMPIONSHIP The Wellington women’s provincial championship tournament concluded on the Heretaunga links yesterday in a triumph for Mrs K. C. Cook, who, playing sterling golf, eliminated her Wanganui Club mate, Miss Patsy Bell, 5 and 4, in the semi-final in the morning and took the title by overwhelming Miss .Eileen Nutt, of Christchurch, in the final, 6 and 5. Mrs Cook is probably the longest driver with woods and irons in the Dominion. She fot prodigious distances yesterday. Out in 1 in the final, she was 6 up on Miss Nutt, and finished the match by taking the thirteenth in 6 to 7.
