Daily intercession
O Lord, I have heard Thy speech, and was afraid: O Lord, revive Thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy.—(Habakkuk Hi.: 2.) Eternal God, in mercy stretch forth Thy healing hand, touch with Thy power the sadly-divided church and this distracted world. Filled with Thy Spirit, make Thy church one in brotherly love, that it may be enabled to lead men out of faction into unity, out of strife into Thy peace. Forgive the lack of charity among professing Christians. Revive, among us the Spirit of the Christ, that He may be supreme.
