MERCER DERAILMENT

INSPECTION OF ROLLING STOCK INVOLVED [Per United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, November 5. The Board of Inquiry set up by the Alin islet- of Railways (Mr Sullivan) to inquire into the circumstances surrounding the derailment of the Limited express near Alcrcer on October 28, will assemble in Auckland during the coming week-end, when arrangements for holding the inquiry will be completed. On Saturday members of the board will inspect the scene of the derailment and examine the rolling stock involved. Counsel for the interested parties desiring to accompany the board on the inspection are requested to communicate by telephone with the secretary of the board at railway headquarters, Wellington. The present indications are that Auckland will he chosen as the venue for the opening sessions of the board. The date on which the inquiry wiH be opened has not yet been finally decided.
