HEAVY FALLS IN HAWKE'S BAY [Per United Press Association.] HASTINGS, November 4. There was heavy rain throughout Hawke’s Bay yesterday and last evening, but though the rivers are high, they are not dangerously so. There is a great deal of surface water on lowlying areas,' and in the outlying districts some crops suffered. The rainfall registered at Hastings for the 24 hours to 9 this morning was 6in, the heaviest for years. The weathas is still showery.
