AIR FORCE BAND

TOUR OPENED DUNEDIN TO BE VISITED [Pek United Press Association.] WELLINGTON, October 26. The itinerary of the tour by the New Zealand Air Force Band in aid of the £1,000,000 patriotic appeal has been amended considerably. Its services are required at a large Air Force ceremonial parade at which tire GovernorGeneral, Viscount Galway, will attend at Wigram on Friday. The band left to-day »to give performances at Hastings and Napier. It will cross to the South Island on Tuesday night, and after the Wigram event will go to Tiraaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, and Invercargill, after which the remainder of the North Island programme will be undertaken. HASTINGS. October 27. The band opened its Dominion tour at Hastings to-day, when two concerts were given before enthusiastic audiences. The mayor, Mr G. A. Maddison, announced to-night that the sum of £IOO had been raised.
