Dr Gayda claims that tho Italians have advanced 18 miles towards Mersa Matruh and 36 miles from Sidi Baraui, but he emphasises the enormous difficulty “ facing the Italians in view of the gigantic British preparations.” He declares that despite British forces totalling a-quartcr of a million men in Egypt and more reinforcements expected, and Australia’s equipment for three additional divisions for Egypt, Marshal Graziani’s new offensive will not be halted.
