PRIDE OF THE FRENCH FLEET.—The battle-cruiser Dunkerque of 28,500 tons, which escaped from the British in the action at Oran and succeeded in reaching Toulon in damaged condition. with her sister ship, the Strasbourg, this vessel represents the latest in French naval contraction and is capable of out-running, out-manœuvring and out-gunning any ship of war.
