POLICE COURT
MONDAY, APRIL 29. (Before Mr H. W. Bundle, S.M'.) DRUNKENNESS. John Farquhar Gardner, a statutory first offender, was fined 20s. FURTHER REMANDS. Thomas John Henry Foote and Edward Farris, who, appeared on remand on charges of theft, and against whom were preferred several other charges involv >g the alleged obtaining of credit by fraud, were further remanded to appear on Friday next. ; Henry Walton Phillips was also remanded until Friday on a charge of obtaining money by false pretences. MAINTENANCE CASES. George MacDonald Hamilton was proceeded against in respect of his default under a maintenance order.—The court ordered the arrears to be reduced from £2O to £lO, and the defendant was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment, the warrant to be suspended so long as he ipaid 13s a week until tho arrears were paid off.
