SKATING SEASON OPENS TO-NIGHT

A big skating session will be held this evening at the De Luxe Rink, Filleul street, opposite the Town Flail, on the occasion of the opening of the 1940 season. To-night’s programme will include the latest musical numbers, and prizes will be awarded for the special competitions. Season and concession tickets, also boots and skates, are on sale. Private tuition is a specialty, and all branches of figure skating will be taught by silver and bronze medallists. The De Luxe Rink is affiliated to the National Skating Association of England, and is conducted on up-to-date linos. Children will be taught to skate under strict supervision. Day sessions arc held from mid-day, commencing Monday. For inquiries, reserved skates, etc., telephone 10-692.
