SEVERAL NOTABLE PERFORMANCES AUSTRALIAN TEAM'S SUCCESS [Per United Press Association.] AUCKLAND, March 13. There were some exceptionally line performances at the Auckland University interfaculty sports, when four records were broken. Competing in the hammer throw, S. White, with a throw of 158 ft o|in established a new best New Zealander’s performance. White’s throw was seven foot better than that in this year’s Dominion championship, in which he finished second. An Auckland University record was created in the threemile race by G. Kofoed who won easily in ISrnin 12 l-ssec. Kofoed last week also broke the mile record. A record was also established by B. Robertson, who, in a special attempt on the old broad jump figures, registered 22ft OJin. A very fine throw of 117 ft 9Jin by D. O. Gordon, formerly of Otago University, was also a record. A feature of the meeting was the appearance of the Australian university athletes, who were outstandingly successful in each event they contested, _ Conditions for racing; were ideal, with the track exceptionally fast, and there was little wind. _ Dunn won the 100 yards championship in 10 l-osec, Curtin the 220 yards in 23 2-ssec, Wilson the 120 yards hurdles in 15 3-sseo,_ Dunn the broad jump with 22ft 10in, and the visitors also won the mile medley relay in 3min 42 3-ssec.
