DUNEDIN WOMAN'S GIFT COMMUNITY SING'S FINNISH APPEAL A second cheque for £IOO has been donated to the Dunedin Community Sing Committee as a contribution towards its appeal for support for the unfortunate children of .Finland. The person making the gift is a Dunedin lady, who desires strictest anonymity. She paid a visit to Mr J. F. Hamburg, secretary of the . committee, at his work this morning, and remarked that she felt she would like to make a small donation to such a good cause. “The small donation,” said Mr Hirm burg, “ turned out to be a cheque for £100.” . , This is the second cheque received for such a sum, the first being from a Timaru lady (also anonymous), in addition to - which Mrs George Moody presented the committee with £SO. These large contributions are much appreciated by the committee, which extends deepest thanks to the donors. So far the total collection for the appeal now borders on the £450 mark, the highest ever gathered, and there are still some small promised sums to come in.
