WELCOME SOCIAL AT MOSGIEL

The Mosglel Presbyterians welcomed their minister and hi s bride at a largely-attended social in the Bible Class Hall. Mr Haigh presided, and conveyed greetings from the North Taieri congregation. A hearty reception was given to Mr and Mrs MacfarJanc, and an enjoyable time was spent at the social. Mrs M’Pheat welcomed Mrs Macfarlane on behalf of tho ladies and presented her with a bouquet, while Mr John Aitken extended a welcome from the congregation and presented the happy couple with a canteen of cutlery. The ladies provided supper, and the choir and friends entertained with choruses, quartettes, and solos. Mr Pilling, conducted, and Miss Jean Hendry played the accompaniments. A vote of thanks to all who had assisted was passed on the motion of Mr R. L. Fairmaid.
